On the Meaning of Work
It’s always energizing when work also aligns with my social beliefs, things that I’ve been thinking for years but never been able to shout yet, or whether I’m able to tell the stories I believe. Because all the work means something to me for different reasons.
I’ve always wanted to see if I can work with a team with varied backgrounds or nationalities and tell stories that can reach out broader audience too.
I’m very much aware, eventually, being a freelance writer, what you’re able to work on is what sort of knocking on your door or floats by you.
And I guess I’m very lucky to have been offered the opportunity to be part of the team outside the country and cooked-up some interesting ideas, scenes, and lines into unbelievably powerful storytelling for months of hard labour.
Now that it’s already published, becomes someone else’s baby and I might never have anything to do with it again, I took my time to look back on it once again and forever in awe of our job where we’re actually, in every respect, responsible for the growth of something.
